Rebecca Blood: Weblog's History
I was a little confused when first reading this topic because I myself am not too familiar with blogging and just recently started to investigate further into web blogs. But as I read on I realized that everything this piece states is true. There is such a major influx of different blogs today and the information presented, that it can almost be frustrating trying to comprehend and relate that information to our former understanding. We cannot be so accepting of every bit of information that is thrown at us in different blogs. We must stay skeptical in order to further our knowledge. In my personal opinion skepticism keeps the reader intrigued, and determined to further investigate in order to grasp a full understanding of the information at hand. Back in 1998, Rebecca says that for the most part, only people that had some form of code HTML and web designing experience were exhausting the use of web-blogs and creating different ones. Now, people can create blogs and put whatever information they feel appropriate into them. We need to always investigate instead of accepting any information tossed at us. Authors are not always as reputable as we would like to think.
