 ==Understand== This is an itinerary to explore the scenic aspect of Newport, RI while navigating on Ocean Drive. This itinerary is made to help navigate more efficiently to places of interest that provide a historical background of Newport, RI while providing spectacular scenery.
 ==Prepare== when preparing for this trip, be conscious of having plenty of water. Also, make sure that you bring bathing suits and towels in case you want to go in the water. Also, you must beware of finding parking desatinations because it can be difficult to find a spot at times. ==Get in== To get on Ocean Drive, you must first start at The Elms on Bellevue Ave. Then you must turn right on Ochre Point and at the end of Ochre Point take a right onto Ruggles Ave. Than you must turn right onto Coggeshall Ave. and than a left onto Ocean Drive. ==Go/Walk/Drive/...== At first, you can drive to Rejects Beach located right off of Ocean Drive. Rejects beach is basically the discarded remains of Baileys Beach which was once a very prestigious and private beach. After you have had your fun in the sun at Rejects Beach, you can than drive to Brenton Point State Park which is a park that is ideal for picnics hence the tables provided by the park. Brenton Point State Park also provides a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean as it meets Narragansett Bay. ==Stay safe== To stay safe throughout this trip, just be sure to stay hydrated and be weary of the traffic of different tourists especially in the summer time when it gets busy. Also be sure when your at the beach to stay safe in the water because it is a swim at your own risk policy. ==Get out== To leave Newport, RI, there are numerous highway entrances located throughout. Navigation onto any of the entrances will be evident throughout the trip. Just beware to take a mental note as to the appropriate highway to get on. {{outlineitinerary}}
